Originally a group of Mustang owners in southern   Nevada who gathered on weekends to race, work on   their cars and generally hang out, the founding members decided to establish the club formally in   March of 2003. Although the current membership is still   primarily limited to the Las Vegas area, the club plans on expanding to include enthusiasts statewide.

     The only criterion for membership is ownership of a Ford Mustang, regardless of age or condition. There is no fee to join, although members are expected to participate in club activities as their schedules permit. Silver State Stangs meets twice each month on alternating weekends, as well as frequent informal gatherings.
